Personalities
Jason Currie is our Production Guru (although he prefers the term "God" we let him know that this was an exaggeration), mid-day announcer and general all around do-everything guy.
Cody Morton was born in Calgary. His family moved to BC when he was 4. At age 8 he began volunteering for the Long Beach Model Forest Interpretive Centre in Tofino. At age 10, Cody put a proposal together for the new radio station in Tofino, and started with a 1 hour Saturday Morning show in January 2000, and expanded to 2 hours soon after. His career hilights (so far) include interviews with Edwin, Souldecision, and Blue Rodeo, attending the 2001 Juno Awards and interviewing Prime Minister Chretien. Cody's Juno reports were heard on CHOO-FM (Tofino), CHEK-TV, SUN-FM (Kelowna), Plugged In (Shaw Cable) and The Wave (Nanaimo). Cody celebrated his 14th birthday in June. Listen Saturday Afternoons from 1:00 to 5:00 for "Bust-a-Groove" with Cody Morton.
Cody has recently been awarded the designation of "World's Youngest Radio Presenter" from the Guiness Book of World Records. Cody's certificate is displayed proudly in the AV1240 office on 3rd Avenue. Come by to see it!
